Organisasi TIA (Telecommunications Industry Association) menciptakan standar meliputi radio private mobile (digunakan oleh pihak keamanan, baik tentara maupun polisi), menara antena, satelit, premis cabling (copper maupun fiber), sistem komunikasi mobile, mobile multimedia multicast, healthcare, dan lainnya.

TIA (Telecommunications Industry Association) merupakan salah satu organisasi terpisah yang diakui oleh ANSI dan bekerja sama dengan Electronics Industries Association (EIA). TIA menspesifikasikan Subnetwork Dependent Coverge Protocol (SDNPC) untuk paket-paket servis (GPRS-136). Salah satu contoh standar TIA yang terkenal adalah TIA 568A-B.
